 Metazoa Brewing Company is a dog-friendly craft brewery and dog park in Indianapolis that donates 5% of its profits to animal and wildlife organizations. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome inside the taproom and outdoor patio, and pups can be off-leash within the dog park. You can even rent out space to have Fido's birthday party! Food trucks visit frequently. Please note that the tap room is for ages 21 and over only. 


  • Monon Trail

 Bring your dog along to explore the Monon Trail, a converted railway that winds for 26 miles through Indianapolis, connecting Sheridan, Carmel and other smaller communities along the way. The paved, dog-friendly trail welcomes Fido on a leash, as long as they are cleaned up after. The trail can be accessed from sunrise to sunset.

  • Fort Harrison State Park

Formerly the site of Fort Benjamin Harrison, the park features a Citizen's Military Training Camp, Civilian Conservation Corps camp and a World War II prisoner of war camp. As well as being a wander back through time, there are plenty of trails you can actually wander with Fido to enjoy the natural beauty of the park. Pups are welcome on all of the trails, as long as they are on a leash under six feet and you clean up any mess after them.

 Fountain Square Brewing Co. is a dog-friendly brewery in Indianapolis. This industrial-style taproom offers local, craft brews and use a range of techniques during the brewing process. There are usually about 5 beers on tap, which vary from IPA to pilsner. Dogs are welcome inside and out. 


  • Tibbs Drive-In

  Tibbs Drive-In is the last standing family-owned and operated drive-in of Indianapolis. All sound is now transmitted via shortwave radio, so you will need to bring a portable radio if you plan on sitting outside of your vehicle. Please show up at least an hour prior to show time to ensure the best possible parking experience. Fido is welcome to enjoy a movie with you inside of your car.

  • Fort Harrison State Park Dog Park

 Fort Harrison State Park is the only state park in Indiana to offer a dog park due to its urban nature. An annual or weekly dog park pass is required and can be purchased with cash or a debit/credit card at the park office. An application and vaccination records are required. The dog park is located on the north side of the state park and has three fenced play areas without size restrictions. Platoon Run boasts 3.6 acres with large shade trees, a water station, benches, waste stations, agility equipment, a shelter, and even a fireplace. Herrin Hill is a 1.3-acre play area that is mostly open with shade, a water station, benches, and waste stations. Brigade Landing is open seasonally and offers 5 acres complete with a pond, dog beach, and a wooded area. 


  • Deviate Brewing

 Deviate Brewing is pet-friendly. This creative craft brewery has a selection of delicious brews made on-site. If you're feeling peckish, order from the visiting food truck, bring takeout inside or grab and go from a local restaurant. They are open Tuesday through Friday from 3pm to 9pm, Saturday from 2pm to 11pm and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.
